Born into a family of artists in Deauville-France, Lagasse grew up in a world of artistic emulation and creation. At the age of 7, he tried collage for the first time, and later encounters Cesar who will encourage him to continue along this path.

As a teenager, he started realizing numerous graffitis in the Paris metro with his adopted graffiti brother. Meanwhile, the cutting-bonding technique became a passion that were combine in his tags after the advice of Vasarely.

Karl sold his first painting at the age of 15 years in Antwerp, and then prepared his first solo exhibition at the Isy Brachot gallery in Brussels. He later returned to Paris where he made his second solo exhibition of paintings, collages and photographs at the Espace Pierre Cardin.

An article in the ArtPrice Magazine classifies him in the top 10 artists under 30 years.

In 2012, he produced a monumental sculpture for the 65th anniversary of the Cannes Film Festival in collaboration with the Corbis photo agency. He exposed on the beach of Hotel Carlton, where many celebrities signed his work. Karl Lagasse also exhibited his « One Dollar » monumental sculptures in the front of the hotel.

In 2014, Maserati launched their new model « Ghibli » worldwide. Lagasse created an abstract work in silver foil throughout the body of the car with a writing of Psalms II in Latin. The work was exhibited at the Grand Palais during the Art Paris Art Fair.

In 2015, he was the guest of honor of the Salon Art Paris, where he exhibited his first « One Dollar » sculpture in Bronze. Karl invents and reinvents himself every day in his artistic universe. Thus, his lucky dollar sculptures were born. He creates with letters, volumes and columns, making his works a part of our contemporary world.

Operating in different universes, from the New York jet-setter to humanitarian actions, Karl is attentive to others, loves sharing, solidarity, and participates annually in charity sales.
